SunSirs: The Domestic Phenol Market Was Strong and Transactions Were Slowing Down

The domestic phenol market was pushing up for a few days, and then, the trend had slowed down. According to the market analysis system of SunSirs, the negotiated price of phenol in East China was 6,400 RMB/ton, and the average price in the national market was 6,442 RMB/ton, up 2.06% in three days.

Analysis review

Domestic factories had collectively raised their prices. As of June 14th, Sinopec's East China phenol quotation was 6,250 RMB/ton, while Sinopec's North China quotation wass 6300 RMB/ton.

As of the 14th, although the operating rate of the phenolic ketone plant was around 70%, which was at a relatively low level, the demand of terminal factories after a wave of procurement in the market had weakened. On June 13, the market was strong and actual orders decreased.

Market outlook

According to the prediction of SunSirs, phenol will undergo a range adjustment in the short term. Given the company's loss situation and the strength of the factory, it is expected that the East China market will be around 6,400 RMB/ton, with a focus on terminal demand.
