SunSirs: South Africa's Corn Production in 2023 is Estimated at 15.9 Million Tons
April 28 2023 13:27:02     The third summer crop forecast report released by the South African Crop Estimates Committee (CEC) shows that South African corn production will reach 15.89 million tons in 2022/23, an increase of 2.7% from 15.47 million tons in 2022.
Among them, the output of white corn for human consumption will reach 8.36 million tons, higher than the previous year's 7.85 million tons; the output of yellow corn mainly used as feed will reach 7.53 million tons, lower than the previous year's 7.62 million tons.
CEC also predicts that South African soybean production will reach 2.76 million tons in 2023, an increase of 23.8% from 2.23 million tons in 2022.
