SunSirs: USDA: Increase the Estimated Global Cotton Production and Reduce the Consumption Expectation
March 09 2023 13:35:40     In the March global cotton supply and demand report released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the estimated global cotton output was increased by 156000 tons to 25.058 million tons, of which China significantly increased by 218000 tons to 6.423 million tons, while Australia's output was increased by 108000 tons. India's output continued to decrease by 218000 tons this month to 5.334 million tons.
The global consumption is expected to be 23.973 million tons, 121000 tons down month on month, 1.342 million tons down year on year. The consumption expectations of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Türkiye in this report have been lowered.
The global ending inventory was 19.845 million tons, with a month-on-month increase of 449 million tons.
On the whole, the supply and demand report was relatively empty.
