February 22 2022 13:11:33SunSirs(John)

Price trend

This week, the bisphenol A market was mainly down. The main reason was that the demand was not good, and the upstream and downstream products of the industry chain were all showing a downward trend, and there were many negative factors. According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the average offer in East China was 19,000 RMB/ton on February 14, and the average market offer fell to 18,650 RMB/ton on February 21, an overall decrease of 1.84% during the week.

From the perspective of raw materials, the phenol and acetone markets were in a downward trend. Among them, the phenol market fell from the average price of 11,412 RMB/ton to 11,012 RMB/ton, a decrease of 3.5%. Acetone was offered at 5,700 RMB/ton in East China, 5,850 RMB/ton in South China, and 5,950 -6,000 RMB/ton in Shandong and Yanshan surrounding areas.

Negotiations in the downstream epoxy resin market were loose, and the performance was extremely deserted during the week. Among them, the liquid resin in East China was negotiated at 28,500-29,500 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

From the perspective of SunSirs, the auction continued to decline this week, and the upstream and downstream of the industry chain were all showing a downward trend, which was negative for the market; however, the supply of bisphenol A market was still tight, the factory offers were strong, and the holders of goods followed the market. SunSirs expects the bisphenol A market to maintain stable operation in the short term.
