China's Bisphenol A production capacity continued to expand in 2025. Shandong Fuyu's 180,000 ton/year unit and Zhenhai Refining and Chemical's 240,000 ton/year unit came online in June and July, respectively, driving further growth in domestic production. From January to August 2025, China's cumulative Bisphenol A production reached 3.1541 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.01%.

This increased supply was temporarily difficult to consume, and price cuts were implemented to alleviate inventory pressure.

In the third quarter, the profit loss of bisphenol A was large. Enterprises gradually reduced their loads and pressure, and the planned maintenance time in the future was moved forward. The maintenance of the equipment will be mainly concentrated in September-November. In the fourth quarter, Shandong Ruilin's 240,000 tons/year bisphenol A equipment is expected to be put into operation. However, the output of the new equipment is difficult to fully release, and the supply growth is limited. The average monthly output in the fourth quarter is expected to be in the range of 395,000-420,000 tons.
