According to CCTC, on the evening of October 17, 2025, the Hongwei vessel, loaded with timber, wood panels, fertilizers, and other cargo, arrived smoothly at Nanjing Longtan Port Terminal. This marked the successful completion of its two-month round-trip mission along the Arctic route. According to officials from the Nanjing Maritime Safety Administration, the vessel departed Nanjing on August 15 carrying Chinese-made goods including auto parts, electromechanical products, and white goods. It pioneered the Northeast Passage through the Arctic, sailing directly to Europe.
