On August 13th, the commodity price index BPI was 872 points, an increase of 1 point from yesterday, a decrease of 35.07% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 32.12% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on August 13, 2025, there were a total of 54 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (20 in total) and the non-ferrous sector (11 in total). The top three commodities with the highest increase were lithium hydroxide (battery grade) (4.71%), lithium hydroxide (3.24%), and soybean meal (3.10%). There were a total of 57 products that showed a month on month decline, mainly in the chemical industry (37 in total) and rubber and plastic (6 in total). The top 3 products with the highest decline were 1,4-butanediol (-4.48%), dimethyl sulfate (-4.40%), and N-methylpyrrolidone (-4.03%).
