On April 8th, international crude oil futures closed lower. The main contract of US WTI crude oil futures settled at $86.43 per barrel, down $0.48 or 0.6%. The main contract of Brent crude oil futures settled at $90.38 per barrel, down $0.79 or 0.9%. A new round of ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas eased the geopolitical tension.
