Analysis review

The market price of isobutanol fell during the week, mainly due to factors such as a decline in upstream isobutyraldehyde prices and a continued weak decline in the domestic n-butanol market, both of which had dragged down the isobutanol market. Downstream demand follow-up was slow, inquiry intention was weak, and the procurement was only small orders on demand. The atmosphere for new orders in the market was cold, coupled with increased supply expectations in some regions, holding merchants were under pressure to ship, and the focus of market negotiations had declined. On the 22nd, the reference market negotiations price for Shandong isobutanol was around 7,800 RMB/ton.

Upstream propylene: According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, on March 21, the reference price of propylene was 6,960.60 RMB/ton, an increase of 1.31% compared to March 1 (6,870.75 RMB/ton). Recently, propylene prices had risen narrowly, providing limited support for the isobutanol market.

Upstream isobutyraldehyde: According to the commodity analysis system of SunSirs, on March 21, the reference price of isobutyraldehyde was 8,733.33 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.69% compared to March 1 (8,883.33 RMB/ton). This week, the upstream isobutyraldehyde price had declined, and downstream follow-up enthusiasm was weak, which may lack support for the isobutyraldehyde market in the short term.

Market outlook
