According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the price trend of domestic TDI rose first and then fell in February. At the beginning of the month, the average market price of TDI was 20,433.33 RMB/ton, and at the end of the month, the price was 19,833.33 RMB/ton. Within the month, it was reduced by 600 RMB/ton, with an overall decline of 2.94%.

Analysis review

In February, the TDI market was weak and sorted out, the downstream of the terminal resumed production at the beginning of the month, the sponge price rose, the intra-field trading was positive, and the supplier's attitude of supporting the market was positive, and the TDI offer rose; In the middle and late February, the enthusiasm for terminal procurement weakened, the downstream demand was weak, the market inquiry was depressed, the operators' mentality was poor, and the focus of TDI transaction moved down; At the end of the month, the monthly listing price of TDI factory was raised, and the suppliers' attitude of supporting the market was obvious, and the traders' prices were raised according to the information guidance.

The upstream toluene market rose strongly, falling continuously from February 1 to 7, and rising in a stepwise manner after February 7. At the end of the month, the price was 7,290 RMB/ton, up 220 RMB/ton from 7,070 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month, with an overall increase of 3.11%. In terms of cost, naphtha fluctuated and rose. The price of raw materials drove the market of toluene to improve. In addition, the expectation of downstream terminal demand was optimistic. According to market information, the price trend of toluene continued to rise.

Market outlook

According to the TDI data analyst of SunSirs, the capacity utilization rate of the TDI factory was low, the market spot filling was slow, and most of the suppliers were in the attitude of supporting the market, but the downstream terminal performance was weak, the demand purchasing was insufficient, the TDI market trading was light, the supply and demand performance was stalemate. In the later stage, the TDI will be sorted out in shock, and pay attention to downstream follow-up.
