Analysis review

In January, the market price of ECH mainly stabilized with slight adjustment. After the New Year's Day, the market was adjusted in a weak position, and the downstream was cautious and more wait-and-see. With the downstream stock preparation before the festival, the enthusiasm for inquiry and procurement increased, the spot supply in the Jiangsu and Shandong markets was tight, and the enterprises were in a price-supported attitude, and the focus of the ECH market negotiation was upward. In the second half of the month, the price of raw material propylene rose, the price of raw material glycerin was stable, the cost sides had certain supports, and there was no pressure on the supply side. The downstream goods preparation before the Spring Festival was nearing the end, and the logistics and transportation were limited, so the ECH market was running lightly and smoothly. After the festival, manufacturers mainly delivered contracts and orders before the festival, and the market price of ECH remained stable.

From the perspective of upstream and downstream, the reference price of upstream propylene was 7,560.60 on January 27, up 4.36% compared with that of January 1 (7,244.60). For downstream epoxy resin, the reference price of epoxy resin was 15,500.00 RMB/ton on January 27, down 2.11% from the price on January 1 (15,833.33 RMB/ton).

Market outlook

The ECH analyst of SunSirs believes that the current cost support still exists, and the supply side is not under pressure, but the demand side is temporarily limited.
