SunSirs: The Market Was Heating Up, and the Price of LNG Rose Continuously (July 18-22).

July 25 2022 08:40:21     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the average domestic LNG price was 5,802 RMB/ton on July 18, and the average domestic LNG price on July 22 was 6,110 RMB/ton. Domestic LNG prices rose 5.31% this week.

Analysis review

Domestic LNG prices rose sharply this week, up 5.31% for the week. The domestic liquid price began to rise at the beginning of the week and continued to rise until the weekend. This week, the bidding price of raw gas was raised, which was a favorable support for LNG. The continuous rise of foreign gas has also led to the continuous increase of domestic LNG. Under the mentality of buying up and not buying down in the downstream, the willingness to replenish natural gas increased. The natural gas pipeline in western Inner Mongolia is about to be overhauled, and the supply of liquid plants will be reduced, which will benefit the shipments in the surrounding areas. The hot weather in summer increases the demand for gas-fired power generation, and the LNG market is strong.

As of July 22, the price of LNG in Inner Mongolia was 6,050-6,200 RMB/ton, the price of LNG in Shaanxi was 6,080-6,230 RMB/ton, the price of LNG in Shanxi was 6,050-6,220 RMB/ton, the price of LNG in Ningxia was 6,120-6,170 RMB/ton, the price of LNG in Hebeiwas 6,250-6,350 RMB/ton, the price of LNG in Henan was 6,200-6,550 RMB/ton, the price of LNG in Sichuan was 6,250-6,400 RMB/ton, and the price of LNG in Shandong was 6,750-6,800 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

The LNG analyst of SunSirs believes that: the recent trend of the LNG market is higher, and the market is running well. Under the condition of good demand release, low-priced liquid plants may continue to raise prices. It is expected that LNG prices will continue to rise in the short term.
