SunSirs: Under Demand Constraints, the Price of ECH Fell (December 1-8)

According to the data of SunSirs's bulk list, as of the morning of December 8, the average price of ECH companies was 15,566.67 RMB/ton, which was a 3.51% drop compared with the price on November 8. It was a decrease of 20.85% year-on-year and a decrease of 1.27% in a three-month cycle.

Analysis review

This week (12.1-12.8) the ECH market fell. At present, the price of raw material propylene has risen slightly, the raw material glycerin market is operating weakly, the cost side support is relatively general, the demand side support is weak, the downstream consumption inventory may be the mainstay, the inquiries and purchase intentions are not good, the shipments of the holders are not smooth, and the market transactions are weak, the price of ECH goes down.

Upstream propylene, on December 7, the reference price of propylene was 7,553.83 RMB/ton, which was an increase of 0.11% compared with the price on December 1 (7,545.50 RMB/ton).

Downstream epoxy resin, on December 7, the low offer of the liquid epoxy resin market in East China continued to fall by 500 RMB/ton; the negotiated offer on the 8th was 26,000-27,000 RMB/ton in barrels. The raw materials were arranged sideways.

Market outlook

The ECH analysts of SunSirs believe that, in summary, the current cost support is limited, coupled with the lack of demand, the market atmosphere is dull. It is expected that in the short term, the ECH market may be weakly consolidated, and more attention needs to be paid to market news guidance.
