SunSirs: Supported by Cost and Supply, the Price of ECH Had Risen

April 15 2024 11:36:08     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

The market price of ECH has risen this week. According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of April 12th, the average price quoted by ECH enterprises was 8,225.00 RMB/ton, an increase of 1.86% compared to Monday's price.

Price influencing factors:

Cost side: According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, since April, the price of raw material propylene had first fallen and then increased, while the price of liquid chlorine had increased, putting pressure on the cost of propylene production. The raw material glycerol market was mainly stable, with sufficient support from the glycerol method.

Supply and demand side: In March, due to profit contraction, some companies reduced their load or stopped production, resulting in a month on month decrease in production. Entering April, the overall supply of spot goods in the market was relatively low, and downstream companies were observing and phased replenishment. The enthusiasm for inquiries had increased, and the market atmosphere was still good, supporting the price increase of ECH.

Market outlook

SunSirs' ECH analyst believes that the market for ECH was slowing down and there was a strong wait-and-see atmosphere. Short-term cost pressures may still exist, and companies may not have a strong intention to lower their prices. After the phased replenishment in the downstream, the purchasing mentality is not high, mainly consuming inventory raw materials, and the demand side support may be limited. In addition, with the expectation of short-term supply increment, it is expected that the market for ECH will be stable and consolidated in the short term. More attention still needs to be paid to market news guidance.
