SunSirs: China PS Market is Stable and the Price is Fair

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the average price of PS ordinary materials at the beginning of last week was 10,933 RMB/ ton, and the average price of PS ordinary materials at the weekend was 10,933 RMB/ ton. The price was stable, up 38.11% compared with the same period of last year.
The domestic PS market is stable and small. Recently, the raw material styrene fluctuated after rising, and there is a lack of further direction. The cost of goods held by merchants has changed little, and the tight supply of some brands has a strong market offer. However, the demand of small and medium-sized downstream is poor, the market buying gas has weakened to a certain extent, and there are still profit making shipments.
According to statistics, the price of benzene in Yuyao market is 10,800-11,650 RMB/ ton, and that of benzene in Yuyao market is 12,500-13,550 RMB/ ton. The PS market is short of buying, the trading is flat, and there are small profit making shipments in some parts.
The further directivity of upstream styrene is still unclear, the wait-and-see mood increases, the small and medium-sized downstream are cautious in chasing the rise, and the short-term or contraction is sorted out. It is estimated that benzene penetration in East China market is 10,800-11,700 RMB/ ton.
