According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the dichloromethane market rose slightly this week (8.16-8.20). As of August 20, the average price of dichloromethane in Shandong was around 4,192 RMB/ton, an increase of 1.39% from 4,135 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week.
Analysis review
The overall operating rate of domestic methane chloride plants dropped slightly this week.
The price of raw liquid chlorine rebounded, the price of methanol fluctuated slightly, and the cost support was stronger than last week. According to SunSirs, as of August 20, the methanol price was 2,577 RMB/ton, a slight adjustment from the 2,560 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week; the mainstream ex-factory price of liquid chlorine for tank trucks in Shandong area was reported to be around 1,500 RMB/ton.
Market outlook
The methane chloride data analyst of SunSirs believes that the cost of the dichloromethane market has rebounded recently and the supply side has decreased slightly. Supported by it, it is expected that the dichloromethane market may continue to rise slightly in the short term.
