SunSirs: Styrene Weakened, China EPS Price Fell

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the average price of EPS ordinary material was 11,250 RMB/ ton at the beginning of last week, and 11,150 RMB/ ton at the weekend, with a price drop of 0.89% and an increase of 40.03% compared with the same period last year.

Styrene softened slightly, EPS market returned to flat after continuous volume increase, business wait-and-see atmosphere warmed up, overall transaction weakened significantly. The inventory of styrene terminal factory is low, and the merchants enter the market continuously for replenishment. Most EPS factories have a large turnover. However, with the completion of periodic replenishment by the merchants after the middle of the week, the inquiry atmosphere of the merchants weakens and the market returns to be flat.

As of June 3, Jiangsu's ordinary materials were 11,000 RMB/ ton, down 200 RMB/ ton, or 1.79% on a month on month basis, and its fuel resistance was 11,500 RMB/ ton, down 200 RMB/ ton, or 1.71% on a month on month basis. It is expected that under the pressure of increasing supply, styrene may be weak this week.

At present, some regions are facing the impact of wheat harvest and power rationing, and the overall downstream construction may be expected to weaken. It is expected that the market demand may weaken slightly this week, and China EPS market price may weaken slightly.
