According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the price of eggs was 3.56 yuan/jin at the beginning of this week, and the price of eggs this weekend was 3.58 yuan/jin, an increase of 0.70%.

Market analysis

In terms of spot, the national average egg price is 3.58 yuan/kg, of which Shandong egg price is 3.75-3.90 yuan/500 g, partially up 0.05 yuan/500 g; Liaoning red egg price is 3.50-3.93 yuan/500 g, individually down 0.06-0.10 Yuan/500 g, the average price in the production area is 3.79 Yuan/500 g.
In October, the national total inventory of layer hens was 1.358 billion, down 4.1% month-on-month and 7% year-on-year. The inventory dropped by nearly 100 million birds in two months, which is lower than the average level of the past three years. In terms of chicken age structure, the proportion of reserve chickens under 120 days was 14.36%, a decrease of 1.03 percentage points from the previous month; the percentage of chickens produced at 120-450 days was 76.91%, an increase of 1.12 percentage points from the previous month, and the percentage of chickens older than 450 days had little change.

The total sales of chicken fry from June to August were 3,541,4,098, and 33.48 million birds. The Mid-Autumn Festival market in September was far less than that of the same period of previous years. The market pessimism became stronger. Small and medium-sized hatcheries have almost no new orders from October to November, and the utilization rate of breeding eggs is mostly 10%-30%. The price of chicks has dropped to around 2 yuan per bird, which is low in the same period.

Outlook forecast

With the increase in the number of chicken farmers and the decline in the replacement of stocks, the pressure on long-term supply tends to improve, which supports the expectation of future egg prices.
