October 27 2020 08:52:11     SunSirs (Linda)

Last week, some prices in China’s domestic rare earth market rose, heavy rare earth prices rose slightly, and the light rare earth market neodymium prices rose, but the praseodymium prices fell. According to the rare earth sector index of the Business Society, the rare earth index was 354 points on October 25. The same as October 24, a decrease of 64.60% from the cycle high of 1,000 points (2011-12-06), and an increase of 30.63% from the low of 271 points on September 13, 2015. (Note: Period refers to 2011-12-01 till now).

As of the end of the week, the domestic rare earth neodymium praseodymium oxide price was 326,500 yuan/ton, an increase of 1.24% from the early price of 322,500 yuan/ton; the price of praseodymium neodymium alloy was 414,000 yuan/ton, which was 409,000 yuan/ton from the early price An increase of 1.22%; the price of neodymium oxide was 348,000 yuan/ton, an increase of 0.29% from the price of 347,000 yuan/ton at the beginning of the week; the price of neodymium metal was 440,000 yuan/ton, an increase of 1.62% from the price of 433,000 yuan/ton at the beginning of the week; The price of praseodymium oxide was 317,500 yuan/ton, down 1.55% from the price of 322,500 yuan/ton at the beginning of the week; the price of praseodymium metal at the weekend was 630,000 yuan/ton, down 3.82% from the price of 655,000 yuan/ton at the beginning of the week.

In the recent domestic light rare earths, downstream purchases are relatively normal, with a strong wait-and-see attitude. The transaction volume has not changed much. Manufacturers' prices have lost support. Some prices in the light rare earths market have remained low. The price trend of other products has remained stable. The recent demand from permanent magnet manufacturers The stocking situation is general, the price of praseodymium and neodymium rare earths rose slightly, and the market price of light rare earths is still at a low level. Recently, due to the normal supply of praseodymium products and poor demand, the price of praseodymium series has fallen. In addition, due to the impact of the epidemic on rare earth production and exports, overseas demand has not improved, and the recent domestic light rare earth market prices have maintained a downturn.

Last week, domestic prices rose slightly. As of the end of the week, the price of dysprosium oxide was 1.64 million yuan/ton, and the price trend increased by 0.61% this week; the price of dysprosium ferroalloy was 1.625 million yuan/ton, and the price trend increased 0.31% this week. In the purchase and storage plan, medium and heavy rare earths account for a large proportion of the annual output, which is expected to have a greater impact on the supply, demand and price of medium and heavy rare earths. However, the information on purchasing and storage is uncertain. The current Myanmar customs seal still has a tightening effect on the domestic import supply of medium and heavy rare earths. , But the downstream demand has not been active recently, and the market price of heavy rare earths has risen slightly. Recently, the market situation is general, and the price of heavy rare earths remains high. Downstream demand has not improved significantly, and the market price of heavy rare earths has not risen much.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the 'Notice on Doing a Good Job in the Implementation of Policies for Benefiting Enterprises in the Rare Earth Industry', stating that the Rare Earth Office entrusted the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and the China Rare Earth Industry Association to sort out and summarize the policy documents suitable for the declaration of rare earth enterprises, forming the "Resumption of Work and Production in the Rare Earth Industry" Compilation of Related Support Policies. The policy is favorable to support the development of the rare earth industry. At the same time, Sino-US relations are tense. The key products of rare earth Sino-US trade are of great significance. National policies are conducive to the balance of supply and demand in the rare earth industry. Recently, the supply of rare earths in the rare earth market has been normal, and the demand has not changed much. The domestic rare earth prices have risen slightly this week.

Recently, domestic rare earth demand has not changed much, coupled with normal downstream purchases, on-site transactions have risen. SunSirs analysts expect rare earth market prices to rise slightly in the later period.
