Since August, the domestic silicone DMC market has been operating steadily. In the first ten days of August, the market saw a short-range fluctuation adjustment. In the past two weeks, the market for silicone DMC can be described as "calm and stable", the market quotation was almost no fluctuation, the downstream purchasing atmosphere was dull, and the demand was average, and it was mainly purchased on demand.

At present, the operating rate of plant installations is slightly lower than that at the beginning of the month, inventory is low, sales pressure is small, and manufacturers' quotations are firm. As of August 19, the domestic organic silicon DMC market has been trending smoothly. The quotations in mainstream areas were at 16,500-16,800 RMB/ton, the low-end quotations were at 16,200 RMB/ton, and the high-end quotations were at 17,000 RMB/ton.

On the upstream side, at present, the market for silicon metal has risen steadily and slightly from the beginning of August. On August 18, the reference price of silicon metal was 11208.33, which was an increase of 1.97% compared with August 1 (10991.67). On August 18th, the price of #441 silicon in the silicon metal market in Sichuan increased by 50 RMB/ton. The current price range is 11,000-11,100 RMB/ton, with an average price of 11,050 RMB/ton; the market price of #441 silicon in Tianjin Port area rose by 100 RMB/ton. The current price transaction range is 11,300-11,400 RMB/ton, and the average market price is 11,350 RMB/ton; the market price of #441 silicon in Huangpu Port area rose by 50 RMB/ton. The current price range is 11,200-11,400 RMB/ton, and the average market price is 11,250 RMB/ton.

Supply and demand are slightly stalemate, downstream demand is poor, and there may be a decline in the later period

At present, there are not many new orders for silicone oil and silicone in the downstream of silicone DMC, and the replenishment is slow. The buy-and-use model is mostly adopted for silicone DMC. The lightness of the silicone DMC market also makes the downstream wait-and-see mood strong, the supply and marketing game appears, the market is slightly stalemate, and the overall start of the monomer plant is still high, although the inventory is low, but the demand is insufficient, the DMC will still be difficult to go up. In the short-term, prices will remain stable for factories, and some factories with high quotations may decline slightly.
