According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, the average price of salicylic acid (industrial grade) mainstream manufacturers on July 15 was 14,666.67 RMB/ton, which was flat compared with the beginning of the month. The recent market is running smoothly, and some companies have lowered price slightly.

Analysis review

In July, the downstream demand performance was poor, and the market gradually entered the off-season. The export of salicylic acid was not smooth, the domestic sales were general, and the demand side was slightly sluggish. Some enterprises sold with profits, and the market as a whole was weak and stable. As of July 15, the price of industrial grade salicylic acid of Zhenjiang MaoYuan Chemical Co., Ltd. was about 15,000 RMB/ton, that of pharmaceutical grade was 24,000 RMB/ton, and that of sublimation grade was 22,000 RMB/ton. The industrial grade price of salicylic acid of Hebei Jingye Chemical Co., Ltd. was about 14,000 RMB/ton, the price of pharmaceutical grade was 29,000 RMB/ton, and the price of sublimation grade was 20,000 RMB/ton. The industrial grade price of new hualongxin salicylic acid was about 15,000 RMB/ton, the pharmaceutical grade ex factory price was about 24,000 RMB/ton, the ex factory price of sublimation grade was about 18,000 RMB/ton, and the factory price of methyl salicylate was about 23,800 RMB/ton, which was slightly reduced. The industrial grade salicylic acid price of Yanying chemical was about 12,000 RMB/ton, the pharmaceutical grade price was 23,000 RMB/ton, the sublimation grade price was 17,000 RMB/ton. The industrial grade salicylic acid of Henan diduoao Chemical Co., Ltd. was 14,000 RMB/ton, and the sublimation grade salicylic acid was 19,000 RMB/ton. The actual transaction was mainly through negotiation, and the quantity was preferred.

From the end of July, the operating rate is expected to pick up, the supply is relatively sufficient, the demand side is looking at the purchasing downturn, the industry is not prosperous, and the factory start-up is also gradually declining. In the international situation, some factories are gradually returning to work, and the import volume is steadily increasing. By the end of the 15th, domestic petrochemical manufacturers had lowered 200-400 RMB/ton as a whole. The mentality of the shippers was unstable, the offer was low, and the intention of bid submission was low. The market price of phenol in East China is estimated to be about 5,600 RMB/ton.
