The domestic industrial-grade lithium hydroxide market has been operating steadily recently. According to the data monitored by SunSirs, as of July 14, the average price of domestic industrial-grade lithium hydroxide enterprises was 54,666.67 RMB/ton, which was flat compared with July 1 and fell 4.09% compared with April 14.

Analysis review

At present, the demand for industrial-grade lithium hydroxide is stable, spot transactions for battery-grade lithium hydroxide are general, and prices are mainly stable.

According to customs statistics, from January to May 2020, the cumulative total import of lithium hydroxide in China is 219.92 tons, the cumulative import value is about 1.25 million US dollars, and the cumulative average import price is 568.51 US dollars/ton; from January to May 2020, the cumulative total export volume of China's lithium hydroxide is 21,229.99 tons, the cumulative export value is about 236.79 million US dollars, and the cumulative average export price is 11,153.42 US dollars/ton.

Upstream lithium carbonate, lithium carbonate prices have risen and fallen recently, and the market continued to wait and see. As of July 13, the average price of industrial grade lithium carbonate in East China was 39,300 RMB/ton, which was a decrease of 0.35% compared with July 1, and a decrease of 1.5% compared with June 13; on July 13, the average price of battery-grade lithium carbonate in East China was 44,700 RMB/ton, which was 1.13% higher than July 1 and 0.9% higher than June 13. On the 13th, the mainstream quotation for the industrial grade lithium carbonate market was around 35,500~45,000 RMB/ton, and the mainstream quotation for the battery grade lithium carbonate market was around 40,500~48,000 RMB/ton. At present, there is still a high correlation between the price of industrial grade lithium carbonate and battery grade lithium carbonate, and the industry needs some time to digest the inventory. It is expected that the market price of lithium carbonate in the short term will continue to be on the sidelines.

Market outlook
