SunSirs: This Week, O-Xylene Market Was Stabe(May 18-22

According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, this week Sinopec's o-xylene contract quotation has stabilized. As of May 24, the execution price of o-xylene Sinopec was 4,000.00 RMB/ton, which was stable compared with the price of o-benzene 4,000 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week. Compared with the same period of last year, the price dropped by 37.50%. The o-xylene market is stable but has momentum.

 

Analysis review   

Cost factor: This week, the price of o-xylene remained stable, the price of mixed xylene rose sharply, the price of o-xylene raw materials rose, the cost of o-xylene rose, and the price of raw materials rose, which was good for o-xylene.

Industry chain: This week, the price of phthalic anhydride fluctuated to maintain stability, and the parade of o-xylene was stable; the demand for o-xylene was stable, and the rising momentum was not enough.

 

Market outlook

Analysts of o-xylene believe that the prices of o-xylene raw materials have risen sharply this week, the cost of o-xylene has risen, and o-xylene has a certain upward momentum; as for downstream, domestic demand for phthalic anhydride is stable, and o-xylene has limited upward momentum .Overall, the market for o-xylene is good, and the market outlook for o-xylene is stable but the upward momentum is increasing.
