According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the price of domestic maize starch went ahead slightly this week. At the beginning of the week, the average price of edible first-class maize starch was RMB 2533.33/ton, while at the end of the week, the average price was RMB 2526.67/ton, a slight drop of 0.26%.
2.Cause analysis
In mid-September, new season maize came into the market one after another from south to north, coupled with the continuous release of old grain stored in the country, the looser supply of maize market led to a slight decline in maize prices in some areas and a slight drop in processing costs, which led to a slight weak adjustment in domestic maize starch prices.
3.Future Market Forecast
Analysts of maize starch products from SunSirs believe that, on the basis of sustained low processing profits and the coming peak season of domestic starch demand, there is limited room for the overall price reduction of domestic maize starch market, and the price of domestic maize starch market is expected to remain stable next week.
