SunSirs: NBR Market is Stable

  This week (9.2-9.6) the price of NBR was mainly stable. This week, the average price of NBR was stable at RMB 16466/ton, up or down 0%.

  Normal operation of plant and slight increase of NBR ex-factory price

  This week, the domestic nitrile butadiene plant works normally. According to the business association, Lanzhou Petrochemical's 65,000 tons/year plant operates normally. The factory price of Lanhua nitrile butadiene rubber is increased by RMB 200/ton. By the end of the weekend, 3305E is reported to be RMB 16400/ton, N41E is reported to be RMB 16100/ton, 3308E is reported to be RMB 16400/ton; Ningbo Shunze's 65,000 tons/year plant is restarted. At present, nitrile butadiene rubber plant is restarted. 3355 is reported to be around RMB 16,000/ton.

  Butadiene prices for raw materials are high this week

  The price of raw material butadiene remains high. According to the monitoring of business associations, the price of raw material butadiene remained high this week, with RMB 10,443/ton at the beginning of the week and RMB 10,358/ton at the end of the week. The overall price of raw material butadiene fell slightly by 0.81%, still at a high level.

  Downstream demand remains weak

  Economic growth has slowed down gradually, and domestic automobile production has declined since this year, resulting in a weaker domestic demand and export of NBR than in previous years.

  Outlook for the future

  Analyst of SunSirs said that although raw material prices remained high and the ex-factory price of Lanhua nitrile-butadiene increased slightly, due to weak demand, market traders mostly maintained the original price and mainly shipped. It is expected that the price of NBR will be weak and stable in the later period.
