SunSirs: Poor Trade, China PS Price Drops

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the average price of PS ordinary materials at the beginning of this week was 10,100 RMB/ ton, and the average price of PS ordinary materials at the weekend was 10,066 RMB/ ton, down 0.33%.

At present, the decline of PS (polystyrene) market continues. The price of styrene is high, but the market is limited. The quotation of mainstream brands excluding tax refers to: Zhenjiang Chimei PG33 reported 10,820 RMB/ ton, Taiwan Taihua 5250 reported 10,080 RMB/ ton, Ningbo Taihua 535N reported 10,080 RMB/ ton, Shanghai SECCO 123P reported 9,320 RMB/ ton, Thailand Petrochemical 150 reported 10,300 RMB/ ton, and Guangzhou Petrochemical 525 reported 9,080 RMB/ ton.

The raw material surface continues to vibrate in the box, the on-site trading atmosphere is not good, the downstream procurement is lack of interest, the merchant shipping resistance still exists, and the firm offer is flexible and profitable. The mainstream price of GPPS (polyphenylene sulfide) in East China market is 9,350-10,900 RMB/ ton, and the mainstream price of HIPS (polystyrene) is 10,100-11,300 RMB/ ton.

PS market turnover is light, and short-term China domestic PS (polystyrene) market is expected to be weak and deadlocked.
