SunSirs: Under the Influence of Cost, Rayon Yarn Rose Steadily (June 22)

Price trend

With the gradual withdrawal of low-priced viscose staple fiber from the market, the current average price of viscose staple fiber used by spinning mills has reached 15,000 RMB/ton. Due to the rising cost of raw materials, most spinning mills have recently started to increase the transaction price of rayon yarn by 50-200 RMB/ton. The price of rayon yarn is at a high level. As of June 22, 2022, the average ex-factory price of (30S, ring spinning, first-class products) is 19,233 RMB/ton, rising steadily, up 60 RMB/ton from previous day's price.

Analysis review

The upstream raw material viscose staple fiber market was stable, supported by cost, and the price was at a high level. Manufacturers offer around 16,000 RMB/ton; the demand for textile terminals continued to be flat, and the transaction was average. Due to the rapid rise in the price of viscose staple fiber, the increase in the variety of yarns was limited. At the same time, the operating rate of circular knitting machine factories and grey fabric factories remained low, and some yarn factories had limited or stopped production.

Market outlook

Analysts of SunSirs predict that the price of rayon yarn will not have enough momentum to rise, or that it will be stable at a high level.
