SunSirs: Market Demand Was Poor, and EPS Prices Fell

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the average price of EPS common materials at the beginning of this week was 10,875 RMB/ton, and the average price of EPS common materials at the weekend was 10,950 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.69% and a year-on-year increase of 7.35%.

Analysis review

Domestic EPS prices rose slightly. Crude oil fluctuated and rose. As downstream demand in some regions was acceptable, the price of styrene strengthened. However, due to local policies, logistics and transportation were not smooth, and the terminal just purchased on demand mainly, and there was no intention to replenish the goods in batches. As of March 24, the price of common materials in Jiangsu sample enterprises was 11,100 RMB/ton, up 200 RMB/ton, or 1.83%, and the fuel resistance was 12,000 RMB/ton, up 200 RMB/ton, or 1.69%.

On the cost side, crude oil may continue to rise, export may have some support for styrene, downstream demand is unlikely to improve significantly, and the production of some units on the supply side has changed. It is expected that the domestic EPS construction may increase slightly next week.

Market outlook

The EPS market has a lively inquiry atmosphere, some merchants are replenishing goods in an appropriate amount, and the overall transaction has increased. It is expected that the EPS market may fluctuate strongly next week.
