SunSirs: The Market is Dominated by Replenishment, China EPS Prices Rise

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the average price of EPS ordinary materials at the beginning of last week was 9,975 RMB/ ton, and the average price of EPS ordinary materials at the end of last week was 10,175 RMB/ ton, with a price increase of 2.01% and 24.85% compared with the same period of last year.

The domestic EPS market rose in a narrow range, crude oil continued to be strong, pure benzene and styrene fell after continuous strength, the cost support weakened, the tight supply situation in South China was effectively alleviated, the market demand recovered, the terminal just needed replenishment, and the overall trading was OK. As of January 6, the ordinary materials of Jiangsu sample enterprises were 9,700 RMB/ ton, up 200 RMB/ ton, or 2.11%, and the barrier fuel was 10,600 RMB/ ton, up 200 RMB/ ton, or 1.92%.

International crude oil may rise slightly, but pure benzene and styrene will callback slightly, and the styrene port inventory may continue to accumulate slightly. On the supply side, some units will restart, the demand in the northeast and northwest will weaken significantly, the demand in East China is poor, and the demand in South China and southwest will weaken.

EPS prices are strong, the atmosphere of on-site negotiation is general, and the downstream just needs to purchase, so they hold a wait-and-see attitude. China EPS market is expected to decline slightly this week.
