SunSirs: Steady Increase in Glass Market Price in November

December 02 2020 10:48:33     SunSirs (Selena)

According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the glass price rose last month, with an average price of 23.72 RMB/ m2 at the beginning of the month and 24.25 RMB/ m2 at the end of the month. The price rose by 2.23% within the month.

According to the data of the industry association, on November 30, 2020, the industry's inventory of 28.09 million heavy containers increased by -6.46 million heavy containers compared with the previous month, and increased by -9.59 million heavy containers compared with last year. The number of inventory days at the end of the month was 10.63 days, increased by -2.47 days month on month, and increased by -4.11 days compared with last year. On November 30, 2020, the glass capacity utilization rate at the end of the month was 69.76%; the month on month increase was -0.01%, and the year-on-year increase was 0.41%; after excluding the excess capacity, the glass capacity utilization rate was 82.77%, up 0.15% month on month, and 0.37% year-on-year. The glass production capacity was 964.62 million heavy containers, an increase of 1.8 million heavy containers compared with the previous month, and an increase of 31.32 million heavy containers compared with last year.

According to SunSirs, glass prices will rise this month. At present, the situation of glass production enterprises out of warehouse is good, the inventory of processing enterprises is low, the orders of downstream decoration enterprises are relatively stable, the export orders of southern regions have increased, and the continuation of North rush orders has formed a good support for glass prices this month. Soda ash, petroleum coke and liquefied natural gas have little effect on glass. In the short term, China glass mainly runs smoothly in the near future, supplemented by a small increase.
