SunSirs: The Impact of a 2.4% Decrease in Ex Factory Paper Prices in January 2026

Recently, the National Bureau of Statistics released data on the ex factory prices of industrial producers in January 2026. The ex factory prices of industrial producers in the printing and recording media reproduction industry decreased by 3.7% year-on-year in January 2026; The producer price of paper and paper products industry decreased by 2.4% year-on-year.

According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the ex factory prices of paper and paper products industry decreased by 2.4% year-on-year in January 2026, indicating weak overall demand or oversupply in the industry. As the main paper product, the spot price of corrugated paper may be under pressure to decline, as the decrease in ex factory price reflects the weakening of downstream consumption and the risk of inventory backlog.
