February 12 2026 09:15:32     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

On February 11th, polyester filament prices remained stable, with sluggish trading before the holiday. As of February 11th, mainstream polyester filament factories in Jiangsu and Zhejiang quoted POY (150D/48F) at 6,950-7,100 RMB/ton, polyester DTY (150D/48F low elasticity) at 8,000-8,300 RMB/ton, and polyester FDY (150D/96F low elasticity) at 8,000-8,300 RMB/ton. Factories maintained stable prices, with orders mainly for immediate needs and overall transaction volume being moderate.

Market Analysis

On the cost side: PTA/MEG prices are fluctuating with a slightly upward bias, with solid cost support.

On the supply side: Leading companies reduced production by 20% before the holiday, with an operating rate of about 84% and low inventory levels (POY/FDY approximately 10/14 days).

On the demand side: The textile industry was in its off-season, coupled with the Spring Festival holiday, leading to restocking for essential needs and an overall weak demand.

.Sentiment: A wait-and-see attitude prevailed ahead of the holiday; prices remained stable with limited direction.

Market outlook

Overall, polyester filament prices remained flat across the board on the 11th, with stable prices and price support. With cost support, supply contraction, and off-season demand, prices are expected to remain stable with fluctuations before the holiday.
