SunSirs: China Imposes Anti-dumping Duties on EU Pork

December 17 2025 09:01:45     SunSirs (Selena)

Chinese Ministry of Commerce: Starting from December 17, 2025, anti-dumping duties will be imposed on imported pork and pig by-products originating from the European Union, with a implementation period of 5 years from December 17, 2025.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced the imposition of anti-dumping duties on imported pork and pig by-products from the European Union, with an implementation period of 5 years. This will significantly reduce import supply, increase domestic demand for live pigs, and benefit the spot price of live pigs. At the same time, combined with the data of pig futures (such as the closing price of contract 2603 on the Dalian Commodity Exchange at 11,305 RMB/ton, up and down +60; the closing price of contract 2605 at 11,905 RMB/ton, up and down +50), the market expects domestic demand to rise and supply to tighten, which may further drive futures contract prices up, and the overall impact is a significant positive.
