SunSirs: The CCI Index of China Thermal Coal Has Fallen Across the Board
November 27 2025 14:40:56     SunSirs (Selena)
On November 26th, the CCI index of thermal coal was 5,500 kcal, 827 RMB/ton (-3); 5,000 kcal, 727 RMB/ton (-3); 4,500 kcal, 630 RMB/ton (-4).
The article shows that the spot price of thermal coal has decreased comprehensively, with 5,500 kcal, 5,000 kcal, and 4,500 kcal grades falling by 3 RMB/ton, 3 RMB/ton, and 4 RMB/ton, respectively. Although this decline did not reach a significant level, it covers all major levels and reflects loose market supply and demand, which may be caused by weak demand or oversupply. It is expected that short-term spot prices will continue to be under pressure, which will have a generally strong negative impact on market confidence.
