SunSirs: Another Promising Gold Ore Belt Discovered in Northern Côte d'Ivoire

November 11 2025 09:04:30      (lkhu)

According to the West African Economic Gateway website on November 3rd, Fortuna Mining, a Canadian company, recently announced that it has discovered another promising ore belt in its Séguéla mining area in northern Côte d'Ivoire. Firstly, the gold content in some areas far exceeds expectations. Geologists have found that the gold content per ton of rock reaches 7.3 grams, and in some small areas, it even reaches 58 grams. Such density is extremely rare in the mining industry. Secondly, the depth of the gold mine far exceeds expectations. The exploration team drilled to a depth of 800 meters underground and found that the gold mine still exists, which means that the ore belt may continue to extend. Paul, the exploration manager of Fortuna, believes that this discovery confirms the existence of a second rich gold ore belt in the mining area. To confirm this, Fortuna has accelerated the exploration of this ore deposit to determine the mining scope of the entire mining area. The operation will continue until the end of 2025. This discovery can not only extend the lifespan of the mine by several years but also create more job opportunities, bringing huge economic benefits to Côte d'Ivoire. Currently, Fortuna operates three mines in Africa and Latin America and has several projects under construction. This discovery will further strengthen its business in West Africa.
