According to China Chemical Information Weekly, the Alxa League Ecological Environment Bureau recently accepted the environmental impact assessment documents for the “New 200,000-Ton/Year Epichlorohydrin and Related Products Project and 300,000-Ton/Year Hydrochloric Acid Comprehensive Utilization Project” submitted by Inner Mongolia Pangu New Materials Co., Ltd.

Project Name: Inner Mongolia Pangu New Materials Co., Ltd. New Construction of 200,000-ton/year Epichlorohydrin and Related Products and 300,000-ton/year Hydrochloric Acid Comprehensive Utilization Project

The project entails a total investment of RMB 663 million (including RMB 13.2 million for environmental protection), with a total construction area of 199,898.00 square meters. It will be developed in two phases: Phase I: New construction of 70,000 tons/year epichlorohydrin, with by-products including 75,000 tons/year 74% calcium chloride and 750 tons/year polymerized glycerol; Phase II: Construct a new 130,000-ton/year epichlorohydrin facility, producing 140,000 tons/year of 74% calcium chloride and 1,350 tons/year of polymeric glycerol as by-products; Construct a new 200,000-ton/year refined glycerol facility, producing 13,600 tons/year of polymeric glycerol and 13,000 tons/year of sodium chloride as by-products; Construct a new 31% hydrochloric acid treatment unit, generating 60,000 tons/year of calcium chloride.
