Russian Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut stated at an expanded meeting of the State Duma committee that as of October 28, Russia had harvested 137 million tons of grain (including legumes), with only 6% of the land remaining unharvested.
The Russian Ministry of Agriculture maintained its forecast for grain production (net weight) in the 2025/26 season at 135 million tons.
Lut also mentioned the difficulties of harvesting in Siberia, where the land is covered in snow, including wheat. While the situation for corn is not as dire, there is indeed a risk that wheat may not be harvested at all.
