Economic Daily News: Qinghai Province recently released foreign trade data showing that the province achieved a total import and export value of 5.35 billion yuan in the first nine months, marking a 45.2% year-on-year increase.
Since the beginning of this year, exports have contributed 127.2% to the growth of Qinghai's foreign trade, becoming the primary driver of this expansion. In line with the Qinghai Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government's requirements for deep integration into the Belt and Road Initiative and market diversification, the province established trade relations with 112 countries and regions in the first nine months, adding 22 new countries and regions compared to the same period last year. Emerging markets such as Hungary, Russia, and Vietnam have become important trading partners.
In terms of product structure, Qinghai's lithium-ion battery exports experienced explosive growth, surging 9.1 times year-on-year. Traditional competitive products like polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and soda ash maintained rapid export growth, with magnesium-based products increasing by 1.7 times.
