SunSirs: API: U.S. Crude Oil and Fuel Oil Inventories Declined Far More Than Expected Last Week

Data released by the American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday, October 28, showed that U.S. crude oil, gasoline, and distillate inventories all fell last week.
U.S. crude oil inventories fell by 4.02 million barrels in the week ending October 24. Gasoline inventories fell by 6.35 million barrels, while distillate inventories were down 4.36 million barrels from the week before.
Industry analysts had expected U.S. crude oil inventories to fall by 200,000 barrels, gasoline inventories to fall by 1.9 million barrels, and distillate inventories to fall by 1.7 million barrels last week.
