SunSirs: Launching the Wheat Sowing Campaign to Combat Autumn Floods
October 22 2025 13:55:49
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the 60-day campaign to combat autumn floods, accelerate wheat sowing, and promote robust seedling growth commenced on October 20. This initiative employs region-specific, chart-based operations; targeted, precise measures; and phased, orderly implementation. Efforts focus on enhancing wet-soil sowing, adapting to late planting, and strengthening pre-winter field management. Every effort is being made to secure wheat acreage, prioritize pre-winter management, and cultivate strong seedlings to ensure safe overwintering.
Currently, the Ministry has dispatched seven working teams and technical task forces to key winter wheat-producing provinces in the Huang-Huai-Hai region. These teams provide targeted guidance, promote policy implementation and key technologies, coordinate solutions to challenges, and strive to solidify the foundation for next year's summer grain production.
