SunSirs: API: US Crude Oil Inventories Declined by 2.98 Million Barrels Last Week

The American Petroleum Institute (API) released data on Tuesday, October 21st, showing declines in US crude oil, gasoline, and distillate inventories last week.
For the week ending October 17th, US crude oil inventories fell by 2.98 million barrels compared to the previous week; gasoline inventories fell by 236,000 barrels, and distillate inventories, including diesel and heating oil, fell by 974,000 barrels.
A previously released survey showed that analysts expected US crude oil inventories to increase by approximately 1.2 million barrels, gasoline inventories to decrease by approximately 800,000 barrels, and distillate inventories to decrease by approximately 1.9 million barrels last week.
