October 20 2025 14:28:40     SunSirs (Selena)

EU data shows that EU palm oil imports in fiscal year 2025/26 decreased by 28% year-on-year, reflecting the long-term constraints on palm oil demand from the EU Renewable Energy Directive (RED II). Major suppliers saw declines in exports to the EU, but Malaysia's share increased.

As of October 12, 2025, the EU imported 212,000 tons of palm oil from Malaysia in fiscal year 2024/25 (July to June), a 6.3% year-on-year decrease. However, the EU's share of palm oil imports increased from 22.3% to 29.2%.
