According to the SunSirs commodity market analysis system, the price of color coated sheet falls slightly this week. The market price of color coated sheet was 6,550 RMB/ton on October 13 and 6,550 RMB/ton on October 17, which is stable compared to last week and up 0.769% compared to the same period last year.

Analysis review

Galvanized Steel: Galvanized steel prices fall slightly this week, reaching 4,197 RMB/ton on Friday (October 17th), a 0.473% decrease from the previous week and a 6.002% decrease from the same period last year. Downstream demand in the coating and plating market remains tepid, resulting in weak market transactions.

Market outlook

This week, the output of the five major steel varieties is 8.5695 million tons, a decrease of 63,600 tons from the previous week. The total steel inventory is 15.8226 million tons, a decrease of 184,600 tons from the previous week. Among them, the inventory at steel mills is 4.5642 million tons, a decrease of 161,400 tons from the previous week, and the social inventory is 11.2584 million tons, a decrease of 23,200 tons from the previous week.

Considering the arrival of the off-season, despite rising costs, most factories are still eager to ship goods, and their quotations remain high. This week, most domestic plants are operating normally, production and sales are not yet balanced, and inventory is slightly accumulated. In the short term, it is expected that the price of color coated sheet will remain basically stable.
