SunSirs: Supported by Peak Season Demand, China EVA Market Is Expected to Rise in September

September 30 2025 10:57:49     SunSirs (Selena)

Supported by peak season demand, the domestic EVA market saw a slight increase in September. According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of September 29th, the benchmark price of EVA in China was 11,400 RMB/ton, an increase of 3.01% compared to the price level of 11,066 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.

The domestic EVA petrochemical plants that underwent maintenance in early September have been restarted one after another, and the overall supply of EVA is sufficient. In September, the overall production of EVA in the domestic EVA industry started at a high level of around 85-90%.

The price of raw material ethylene has significantly decreased, while the price of vinyl acetate has significantly increased, providing some cost support for EVA. As of September 29th, the domestic price of ethylene in Sinopec East China was 6,950 RMB/ton, a decrease of 2.80% from 7,150 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month; The price of vinyl acetate in the East China market is 5,550 RMB/ton, an increase of 6.73% from 5,200 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.

In September, the demand for EVA remained strongly supported, and the foam end maintained a strong demand follow-up, which provided good support for the EVA market. However, downstream demand for high priced goods still resisted, coupled with sufficient supply of goods, dragging down the upward trend of the EVA market.

Overall, EVA costs will continue to be supported; But in October, there were fewer inspections of EVA equipment in China, and the supply or maintenance was sufficient; The downstream photovoltaic and foam industries urgently need support, and it is expected that the EVA spot market will consolidate at a high level in the later period.
