SunSirs: Aniline Market Sees Modest Uptick This Week

September 28 2025 16:17:15

I. Price Trends

According to SunSirs Commodity Market Analysis System, the aniline market saw a slight upward push this week. The market price stood at 7,650 yuan/ton on September 22 and rose to 7,750 yuan/ton by September 26, marking a weekly increase of 1.31%. Compared to the same period last year, prices are down 21.82%.

II. Analysis and Commentary

This week, the aniline market continued its modest upward trend, with mainstream prices rising to CNY 7,750-7,850/ton. Downstream buyers stockpiled ahead of the holiday, leading to decent transaction volumes. Aniline plants maintained stable inventory levels with limited sales pressure. Amid improving market sentiment, major manufacturers collectively raised prices.

Cost Perspective: This week, pure benzene prices fluctuated weakly. Spot prices in East China narrowed their decline, while low-priced transactions in Shandong performed well. Weekly operating rates saw a slight decrease, processing margins fluctuated at low levels, and port inventories declined. Fundamentals remained acceptable, with spot prices holding firm and basis differentials recovering. However, expectations of high import volumes and poor downstream product margins weighed on the market, leading to a weaker outlook.

III. Market Outlook

Current aniline market transactions remain stable. With month-end approaching, downstream restocking nears completion. Combined with transportation disruptions during the holiday season, the aniline market is expected to consolidate in the near term.
