SunSirs: Production of Lithium-Ion Power Batteries for New Energy Vehicles Rises in August

At a State Council Information Office press conference, a spokesperson for the National Bureau of Statistics reported that in August, the value-added output of smart vehicle equipment manufacturing and electronic components and equipment manufacturing increased by 17.7% and 13.1% respectively, while that of integrated circuit manufacturing grew by 23.5%. Industrial upgrading showed positive momentum, with equipment and high-tech manufacturing growing at a relatively fast pace. In August, the value-added output of large-scale equipment manufacturing and high-tech manufacturing increased by 8.1% and 9.3% year-on-year, respectively, both significantly outpacing the growth rate of large-scale industrial enterprises. The pace of green transformation remained steady, with the production of new energy vehicles and lithium-ion power batteries for vehicles rising by 22.7% and 44.2% in August.

Additionally, Shandong's lithium battery industry has achieved an average annual revenue growth rate exceeding 20% over the past three years. From January to August this year, product output growth reached 48.4%.
