Dichloromethane (DCM), a versatile solvent critical to industries such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and polyurethane production, remains a significant component of China's chemical export portfolio.
According to customs data, China's dichloromethane exports totaled 13,473.72 metric tons in August 2025, representing a month-on-month decrease of approximately 23.28%. From January to August 2025, China's cumulative dichloromethane exports reached 136,208.34 metric tons, marking a year-on-year increase of approximately 32.86%.
China's dichloromethane exports in August 2025 fell to 13,473.72 tons (-23.28% MoM), reflecting seasonal and inventory pressures.
