SunSirs: China's Sulfur Imports Declined Month-on-Month in August

According to customs data:
In August 2025, China imported 780,000 metric tons of sulfur, a month-on-month decrease of 29%. The average import price was $273 per metric ton, down 3.5% month-on-month. Cumulative imports from January to August reached 7.22 million metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.15%.
As an integrated internet platform providing benchmark prices, on September 23, the benchmark price for sulfur onSunSirs stood at CNY 2,641.00 per ton, marking a 0.13% increase compared to the beginning of the month (CNY 2,637.67 per ton).
