On September 18th, the commodity price index BPI was 866 points, a decrease of 1 point from yesterday, a decrease of 35.52% from the highest point of 1343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 31.21% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on September 18, 2025, there were a total of 29 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (15 in total) and non-ferrous sector (6 in total). The top three commodities with the highest increase were calcium carbide (4.01%), polycrystalline silicon (2.63%), and n-pentanol (1.56%). A total of 62 products showed a month on month decline, mainly in the chemical industry (32 products) and rubber and plastic (8 products). The top 3 products with the highest decline were sodium nitrite (-4.08%), epichlorohydrin (-3.17%), and diethylene glycol ether (-2.61%).
