According to South Korean customs data, the country imported 14,451.7 tons of ferrosilicon in August 2025, marking a month-on-month decrease of 15.68% and a year-on-year decline of 30.96%. South Korea imported 1,217.1 tons of Ferrosilicon (≤55%), primarily sourced from China (803.1 tons), Japan (154 tons), Thailand (120 tons), Norway (100 tons), and Brazil (40 tons).
South Korea exported 45.2 tons of ferrosilicon (≤55%), with Vietnam as the sole destination (45.2 tons).
South Korea imported 14,451.7 tons of ferrosilicon (>55%), primarily from China (7,691 tons), Malaysia (3,058.2 tons), Russia (2,080 tons), Brazil (828 tons), and Vietnam (634 tons).
South Korea exported 30.5 tons of ferrosilicon (>55%), primarily to Vietnam (20.2 tons) and Thailand (10 tons).
